Gallery in Xoops 2

Problem Report and Help Request:
1) Specifying remote image path while adding images using web interface.
2) Specifying local image path while adding images using web interface.
3) Connecting to my Gallery using Gallery Remote

I've installed Gallery in Xoops 2; it works fine:

...BUT; it only works when uploading single photos. I've tried specifying ftp'd image directories after clicking the "add photos" link, and get the following responses:

This is odd, since you can navigate this directory yourself and see a full list of 240 jpgs.

2) Specifying local image path while adding images using web interface.

(when I specify a local path):
It scans all the photos in the directory fine, but then says each of the images are invalid (particularly curious as it first names the image as "x.jpg."; using netpbm, which works: http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery/check_netpbm.php )

Finally,

3) Connecting to my Gallery using Gallery Remote

Desperate to add my 240 images some better way than manually, I tried downloading Gallery Remote (Mac OSX).

Unfortunately when I send it my URL, I get this message (from log):
(http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery/)
1050880629056|ERROR|GalComm2 |com.gallery.GalleryRemote.GR2Exception: Server contacted, but Gallery not found at this URL

I actually looked at the Java file that this message is generated from, and I couldn't decipher the code.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean "try it in Gallery directly." I only have the Xoops distribution module of gallery, I searched through the directories and couldn't find anything that looked like a non-Xoops modified file.

This is the only "upload" file I could find, and it's the same one reffered to by xoops:

- Is there a file in the xoopsgallery directory that I should be looking for? or,
- Could I possibly install extra Gallery files into my xoopsgallery directories to make it work?

Reference Notes
In case someone not familiar with the Xoops Gallery directory structure is trying to help, just a few pointers:
- the actual albums are stored in ./cache
- ./classes/gallery is the closest thing I could find to a "non-Xoops" directory... that only had User and UserDB.php files in it.

Like I just said on the other thread, this version of gallery varies so much from the standard install, it makes more sense to ask these questions on the Xoops site.

Can anyone please port Gallery 2.2.2 for Xoops 2.0.16. Would help a lot.
