Problem Report and Help Request: I've installed Gallery in Xoops 2; it works fine: http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery ...BUT; it only works when uploading single photos. I've tried specifying ftp'd image directories after clicking the "add photos" link, and get the following responses: 1) Specifying remote image path while adding images using web interface. (when I specify a url): 2) Specifying local image path while adding images using web interface. (when I specify a local path): Finally, 3) Connecting to my Gallery using Gallery Remote Desperate to add my 240 images some better way than manually, I tried downloading Gallery Remote (Mac OSX). Unfortunately when I send it my URL, I get this message (from log): I actually looked at the Java file that this message is generated from, and I couldn't decipher the code. -------------- Thanks Gallery Version Description Author Credits License |

Does the file uploading work correctly if you try it in Gallery directly? (rather than embedded in xoops...) -Beckett ( beck@beckettmw.com) |

Hi, thanks for the quick reply I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean "try it in Gallery directly." I only have the Xoops distribution module of gallery, I searched through the directories and couldn't find anything that looked like a non-Xoops modified file. This is the only "upload" file I could find, and it's the same one reffered to by xoops: - Is there a file in the xoopsgallery directory that I should be looking for? or, I realize I havn't given you much information, and I aplogize, but I can at least give you my the directory listing from: http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery Note: if you want me to change permissions on any of these files, just let me know. <!-- BBCode Start --><TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font class="pn-sub">Code:</font><HR></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT class="pn-sub"><PRE> Reference Notes Thanks again for your time, much appreciated. |

More Clarifications I downloaded the non-Xoops gallery and uploaded the setup directory, so now you can check out my diagnostic page yourself (I don't know what to look for): http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery/setup/phpinfo.php <~php info page http://dms.kjsdesigns.com/modules/xoopsgallery/setup/diagnostics.php <~diagnostic page (note: info on this does not seem to match info when checking the same diagnostic tools seen in previous message, particularly: I've only uploaded the setup folder of the regular distribution. If there's any other files you want me to upload, let me know (I'm not sure this really helped you anyways, but whatever.) |

Like I just said on the other thread, this version of gallery varies so much from the standard install, it makes more sense to ask these questions on the Xoops site. |

I appreciate your feedback; and I will take your advice. I'm still curious all the same if the origional problems I listed: 1) Specifying remote image path while adding images using web interface. Might be a sign of a general issue seen by other installations (particularly in the case where adding files one at a time using web interface still works). If this issue strikes anyone's interest; I'd still appreciate feedback. |

I have Gallery 2.2.3 installed for Xoops 2.0.17! Everything works fine! Just install XoopsGallery RC4. It will contain a directory engine. Just replace everything in that directory with the official files from gallery2.2.3. First install gallery itself: http://yoursite_xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/engine/install OR http:///yoursite_xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/engine/upgrade depending on your situation. Then follow the instructions from xoopsgallery if you did a fresh install. For an upgrade you don't have to change a thing in xoopsgallery. |
