Hi,
I'm trying to prioritize the importance of supporting SSL and proxy settings versus new features like uploading captions and re-sorting pictures already in a gallery.
So I was hoping you guys in the forums could sound off if you want to use these access methods. I know that's unlikely to be an accurate roll call, but it's the best I can do for the time being.
Also, any suggestions to make me less afraid of SSL is welcome

Here is one vote for SSL support in future versions.
I'm not much of a programmer but if you can use OpenSSL or other library I don´t think it would be to much of an hazzle. Maybe the object you are using for HTTP communication already supports HTTPS?

I vote for SSL. It's highly desirable for me.

Although I would like to see all those features, SSL is important for me. I use an SSL connection to my gallery when I log in through a browser to keep people from sniffing my password. It may be a bit paranoid, but I like encrypted passwords. For this reason, I probably won't use Gallery Remote from a remote location (ironic). It will work fine with http on my local network for now.

I for one would prefer to see uploading captions and re-sorting pictures already in a gallery. Handling that online can be a real drag when you gallery is remotely hosted in another counrty when you have a dodgy ISP. Being able to handle all that locally and submitting the changes would be a god send.

Yes - it´s a really big problem. I definitly want to use https and about 50 people want to use the great java applets. I searched for hours but I couldn´t identify how the applets are called in the code.
