I didn't like the standard rating stars - they're rather large, and the transparency doesn't work well on dark backgrounds (I'm using the carbon theme).

Anyway, I created some replacements that are smaller and work well with the carbon theme.

Seems a waste keeping them to myself, so I'm attaching them. To use, simply replace the original images the ratings module.

One graphic had a mistake (sorry!).

I'm attaching replacement images. There's two sets: the "dim" version have the star colours slightly desaturated, so they don't clash with the photograph they're rating.

Ratings Stars for Carbon theme.

The stars created by RichC were not designed well and the set created by pavel.pola lacked the half red and full red icon function. Therefore, I started over from scratch in Photoshop and built all the Rating stars to exact function specifications for the carbon theme only.

I have included the layered PSD file in the attached ZIP for anyone wishing to apply a different background value for any future theme packs. Meaning, if you want black, change the background layer in the PSD to match. Then export each layer as labeled to over-write the module graphics. Export as 64 color GIF in perceptual mode, no dither. Transparency is not needed for solid backgrounds.

You will need to upload these to your hosting server (website) via FTP, in the folder: gallery2/modules/rating/images/

Can be seen here: http://www.pinkrosepetal.com/gallery2/main.php

Enjoy!
