joomla - Real hard time with side bar modle size settings.

I running 2.1.2 and I'm having a problem with the side whe it is displayed thru a joomla site. and the same issue on a phpnuke site so I know the issue is gallery itself.

See from what I can figure it is the size of the searchblock and the imageblock in the sidebar that are throwing everything off. they are sending everything off to the left overiding the setting for that cell of the table.

Where do I edit the size of these things I have been have a real hard time figuring out what file and what lines of code exactly are controlling this.
