Just a few wish items for Gallery concerning access control:

1. When you make a new user and set it so they see their user album when the log in, It invites them to add photos. However this link never returns, even if you delete all the photos so the album is empty again. It would be nice if this link returned.

2. Would like to be able to specify user access based on albums and pictures within albums with highly granular control based on user and group privileges

3. Would like to extend this level of viewing control to custom fields. It would be great to show public information on an album or picture (like size, selling price etc) and also have higher privileged users log in and get to see additional details (such as cost).

@1. return:
return where / what?

@2. granular control;
g2 permissions are already on user / user group and item / album level.

@3. permissions for additional fields:
as developer, you can add additional permissions to the checkout / customfields / ... modules.

Thanks for the swift reply.

1. If you clear out an album of pictures, it is just empty and you don't get the "Add pictures" link that was in the middle of the album when it was first used. I am asking about this primarily since it is useful to have a generic upload area for people to use by giving them a common username/password. It is very easy if them just see the "Add pictures" or actually I change it to "Upload items", but after you purge the folder, that phrase does not return again unless I delete the user and recreate it new.

2. obviously I have not fully understood its operation and will revisit to to get a better grasp

3. Very interesting, I will have to coordinate with some people that might help with such a effort. I think it could be quite exciting.
