Change Theme

Hi,
I have just installed Gallery2, and I seem not to be able to change Themes. On my sever I have uploaded 9 themes, but the only one I can choose is matrix.

I went in the site admin panel,
then went into Themes,
and there I can only see matrix.

Any idea?

No worries, I found it.
Just to let you know, that this is one of the best applications I have ever installed.

Hi,
I too love this software-CONGRATULATIONS to all who have worked on it and thank you.
However, I am struggling to change the theme.
I seem only to be able to have the matrix theme.
I know the folder they are in but I don't know how to make one theme appear instead of another.
I am a bit of a luddite with these things so the simpler the explanation the better!

Same problem for 2.1 or 2.2 RC1.

so you found out how but not going to post it for the rest of us to know? i been having this problem for a long time even before the 2.2 RC. this is the reason why i stop using gallery2. everytime i go under themes, there is never the option for Carbon. I want Carbon. Please tell me how to change the theme to Carbon.

You must visit Site Admin / Plugins first to activate some themes.. then you can configure them in Site Admin / Themes.

i have activated and still once select as default still the new theme wont display? only displays as matrix? please advise...

if you changed the default theme in site admin / themes and an album still shows some other theme then do Edit Album and make sure it has "use default theme" selected. (in Theme tab for G2.2, in Album tab for older versions)

thks mindless I have managed to change to the new theme...however, I have just started using gallery 2 and still a newbie. Can I check how to add links on top of the gallery page to link back to my main page after viewing my gallery? Please advise and millions of thks

Start with http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Themes
you can modify themes/yourtheme/templates/theme.tpl to customize the theme.
matrix and many other themes have links back to parent albums.. not sure what theme you are using.

I am using copyleft and yes it has a template.tpl in the template folder. Will be looking into it.. thks again
