I'm about to redesign my web site, and I'd like to make Gallery an integral part of it. I would like to have inline images linked directly to thwir full-sized counterpart in gallery. I would also like to have the inline images generated by gallery. I originally thought I could just use the thumbnails inline, but they would be too small for inline images, and inline images are too large to use as thumbnails in the gallery.
I am aware that gallery can make intermediate sized images, and I was thinking I could use these as the inline images. However I don't want to change the way visitors use my gallery. I want them still to click on the thumb and go straight to the large version. Is it possible for me to generate medium sized images from SOME of the pics in my gallery, but keep them invisible from gallery users?
Also, is it possible to arbitrarily define the sizes of these medium images so that I can have different sized inline images, or must they all be the same size?
Your assistance is appreciated.
If I havn't made myself clear, please ask any questions
Thanks!
Neil

It's not possible to do what you want in Gallery 1.x without hacking up a lot of the code. However, G2 will provide a much more flexible framework for doing this kind of stuff. Stay tuned, it's coming.
