I am a new Joomla user. I have Gallery2 (2.1.2) working as a standalone page (http://www.angelsonly.com/flyingeaglesrc/gallery2/main.php) and I can administer it as needed.
I was able to install the gallery bridge 2.0.14 in Joomla and I can access the photo gallery created at the above address to view only.
In Joomla under componants - gallery2 - user manager my name is there as Super Administrator but to the right on the line is a message from Gallery2 "User doesn't exist in Gallery 2 or isn't mapped"
Clicking on my name I get the following error group

Although I can view the photos from the joomla website I have no way of uploading them through there.

Hi,
have you synced the users between Joomla and Gallery2?
You can start the sync by clicking the sync button in Components > Gallery2 > User Management.
Check the sync setting in Components > Gallery2 > Settings before.
To administrate the Gallery through Joomla you must login as admin in Joomlas frontend.

Yes I tried the sync button and it says "Syncing Joomla Users to G2 processing 1 of 1".
Pressing continue I get back to user management screen and no changes.
I do not have any sync settings in componants>gallery2>settings
I still have User doesn't exist in Gallery 2 or isn't mapped
And I am loged on as Super administrator.

There should be 3 tabs in the component setting "Core", "User" and "Display", the "User" tab is for the sync settings.
Administration of Gallery through Joomla should work after your first problem is solved.
Maybe you can ask the question also in the forum of the bridge developer:

I changed user compare level to username and sync worked.

Hope people don't mind me ressurecting this but I am having teh same problems.
I have changed to username but I still can't sync. It just displays teh progress bar and nothing else.

Yes, I am having the same problem. Running Joomla 1.0.12 and Gallery2 2.0.14 bridge, I get to the synching users part and get eternally stuck on "Syncing Joomla Users to G2." "processing 1 of 4."
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem...
1 of 3 synch...
I have 3 users of different group. I (Super Admin) and one as Author don't exist while a User Registered is with the green check... Why?
Have I change the component?
Have I download this (from serbanc)?
