I uploaded about 3000 pictures to my ftp. Then gallery imported them and i set up an image size of 800 x something in "edit album" album tab.
I didn't know:

Quote:
G2 can resize your original files automatically for you when you add them if the sizelimit module is active and a sizelimit is defined for the album in Edit Album in the Album tab. The original file will be resized and and the resized version will be stored as the new original and the old original will be deleted.

This is the structure of the webserver:

www/gallery2 the installation of gallery
www/imagefiles the path where gallery stores the albums
www/upload the path where i uploaded the files to import them

Strange, but the pictures stored in "www/imagefiles/albums/myalbum/" are stored with their original size. When i download them via ftp and check they have the size of 1600 x something!?
Viewing them via browser i only get the size of 800 x something.

Is there a way to undo my mistake?

- did you actually set the size-limits before adding the images to gallery?
- the above sounds like you didn't set size-limits. are you sure you don't see a image size picker in the upper right corner when viewing an image in g2?

i'm not sure about that. but i definitly changed the size limits after i uploaded the pictures to see how it would look like. now i know that i just need a derivate of 800px width.

there is a picker since i have set up some derivates. 800x and 1000x.

i just wanted to find out how this size module works and i have set the size to 50px. Now the other pictures of 1000 and 800 are really looking bad. But i still have the pictures in the datapath (www/imagefiles/album/...).
Here is a link to an album i set to 50px:
http://bilddatenbank.ezag.de/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=7906&g2_navId=xfb442354
and here is the original file:
http://bilddatenbank.ezag.de/imagefiles/Produkte/Therapy/Curietron/Curietron 10.jpg

I don't get this :)

edit:
the link to the original file does not work somehow!? Seems to be somehting with the rights to the directory. But this file seems to be really the original like i uploaded it.
