Hi

Can someone please help..

There does not seem a clear that you install the modules/components for g2/joomla

1. The process of what is needed. there is the gallery2bridge and there is also the intergration files (but not install notes?) on gallery2.hu

Are these the same things,, do I need both.

2. Assuming I downloaded from gallery2bridge dev site ..which files do I need the componets and/or the modules and / or plugins.

I done an install nothing worked and then added the album module and image module and got an error... I must be missing something.. also do I need this on a fresh install.

Just a quick step by step would be great thanks,
I think that this will help a lot of people,

cheers and thanks

Hi Kai
thanksrunning on local to test using wamp. apache 2 php 5

C:wampwwwgallery2/embed.php I can fix this but why? below is what it says..the foward slash ?? is that a problem?

Wizard has fetched the following result from your input.
Save to continue or back to correct these settings.
URL To Gallery 2: http://127.0.0.1/gallery2/
Server Path to Gallery 2: C:\wamp\www\gallery2/embed.php

I have config.. seems ok but do I need to get it working??

there does not seem to be a link in the menu to turn on etc etc and I have not installed any modules yet?
what do you recommend?
cheers

Hi,

I have no experience with wamp, sorry.
You can also find the correct path in Joomlas Global Configuration > Server tab.
The menu item for Gallery must be created manually in Joomlas Menu Manager > Main Menu > New > Component > choose Gallery2 from the list and save.

i have the same problem on a local install using xampp
the configuration.php file in your joomla directory defines the absolute path that i think Gallery2 bridge uses.
i don't know how to change that in the bridge. i tried look for that value in the database table

of course. you can just put the path in without using the wizard (the backend of joomla).
http://www.gallery-addons.com/Gallery-Addons/Component/Embedding_Gallery2/1/

just do this for the server path field
C:\wamp\www\gallery2\embed.php

make sure with the windows notations for file location, you use the backspace
(i just copied what the wizard gave me and copied it back in that field and change the forward slash to back slash)
this took 1 hr. unbelievable
