I am using Gallery 2 in Joomla 1.012. When I click on certain links I get the error _G2_WRONG_ITEMID. It routinly happens when I click on display mode for the user name to guest and vica versa. I tried to upgrade to Gallery 2.2 RC1 which went fine and I still get this error. Using gallery as a stand a lone does not give this error.
Any ideas?

Yep, having the same problem myself and a couple of other problems which I suspect are related (like 'Add Photo to Cart' in Joomla adds the entire album but it works fine in Gallery2 interface. I think the problem is with how the bridge or Joomlalib handles itemids, but I'm no expert.

I'm currently looking for a way to disable the display mode links as they are not necessary for my site (and I think will be confusing for my users).

My solution was to switch to Coppermine photo gallery. It bridges to the SMF forum which is bridged to Joomla. No issues at all. I am sure G2 works for lots of folks but I couldn't get it to work so I switched.
