Does forum searching work?

After several fruitless searches, I finally tried "extra_fields" in the search engine. No hits! Am I missing an option, or don't we have searching of forums now? |

Hi,
I used 'extra AND fields' as described in the search text - worked OK for me

But I was testing to see if it could find http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3717
which includes the string "extra_fields" (with underline).
And when I type 'extra AND fields' into the search engine, I don't get that thread either.
No search I did gave me any forum hits.

I just tried a search for 'extra_fields' and it found that post fine (and 4 others too) - maybe its fixed now?

No, it's because forum searching is no longer integrated into the other searching. I've been clicking the link on the left, as usual, and that doesn't search the forum anymore.
Bharat, I think this should be fixed. It's good for me, but struggling visitors aren't going to realise there are two independent search engines.
Oh and thanks for the help. I knew if someone else could do it, I was doing something wrong.

Ok I've integrated the two. It isn't the best integration, but you can search the forums from the main search engine, and there's a link from that page to the more advanced one in phpBB2.
