Delete G1 after G2 migration

I've successfully upgraded from Gallery 1 to Gallery 2. I'd like to now remove my G1 installation completely. I'm not concerned about preserving links from my old Gallery to my new one, since I'm using the same base URL and all the data has been imported. What's the best way of doing that? Just deleting the 'g1' folder? I've tried deleting some albums, but I cannot change permissions on the files to do so via SFTP (from 644 to 755 or the like).

Thanks,

Bill

although the g1 and g2 have the same base URl in your case, the URLs of the albums and photos have changed.
see:

anyhow, you ask how to get rid of g1 stuff.
you might want to use bharat's cleanup script to change permissions. it's available on the downloads page (link in upper right corner).
