Wierd Gallery error with Apache 2.X...Please Help

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can please assist me I am using Gallery version 1.3.1 on a Sun Ultra 5 running solaris 8 using Apache 2.0.39 everything seems to be ok according to the setup page but everytime I am trying to set it up it never saves the config? I am securing gallery after configuration and still get the same thing nothing? Here is some info from my apache error_log:

It seems like every time I am trying to save the gallery config I get the ps: no controlling terminal error? Can anyone please assist? It would be greatly appreciated.

If you clear up that permissions error, does the 'ps' error go away?
FYI, apache 2 isn't officially supported. Maybe someone else with
Solaris knowledge can be of more help.

Yeah I totally removed the .htaccess file from that dir and still got the same message, have any ideas? I am not sure whats going on? It seems to happen ever time I try to access index.php?

I think I saw someplace issues with that pcfg_openfile error.
Basically, apache needs read permissions anywhere you specify
AllowOveride other then 'none' in your configuration. Check your
configuration for alias directories and what not and make sure
apache has read access to them.
