2.2 RC2 Including my header when displaying

Greetings! Using 2.2 RC2 and LOVE it! Great product. Using the simplified theme.

I modified the theme.tpl file so that it included my standard header and footer in the displaying of the gallery. It actually looks fine in IE 6 and IE 7 browsers. However, when I look at it with Safari and/or Firefox, it just doesn't look right. I imaqine it is a problem with the location of my style sheet, but I just can't figure it out.

Anyone have any time to look to see what I might be doing wrong?

If you click gallery on the left

In IE, the top and left side are blue on the menu choices on the left are single spaced.
In Safari, the colors are correct, but the menu choices on the left are double spaced.
In Firefox, the top and left side are white and I can't see the menu choices.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
