G1->G2 Transferring only a few Albums - Is it possible?

I'm moving webservers and I want to migrate only a few of my G1 albums. Thing is, I have about 1GB of pictures in a countless amount of albums. I've tried moving the albums directory, all the files included inside it, and the few album folders I want in the G2 install. When I import from G2, it gives an error because I haven't moved every single album.

Is it possible to trick G2 into thinking that my original albums directory only contained the few albums I want to import (maybe by editing some .dat files)? It would save me a huge amount of time as well bandwidth. Any help would be appreciated.
