Hi
I am planning on getting gallery to run with Vbulletin but i am having a little trouble at the first stage.
I am trying to get Gallery 2 Pre-Installer to work
I followed the instuctions and put a pasword at the top of the php file between the ""
When i run the preinstaller from my ftp site i have problems with the password, i get these messages on the page that loads up
" You are attempting to access a secure section. You can't proceed until you pass the security check."
"You must enter a setup password in your file in order to be able to access this script."
"The setup password in your file is too short. It must be at least 6 characters long."
The page looks like it has loaded correctly
I have entred passwords longer than 6 characters but i still get the same error..
Any ideas?
using firefox 2.0.0.3 and safari
I will find out the rest of my details and edit this post

edit your preinstall.php and put in there a password of at least 6 characters.

I have and it isn't working
hence the post
Silly question , the password does go between the "" at the top of preinstall.php doesn't it?
I have downloaded a new copy and still have the same problem

an example:
the top of preinstall.php before you edit it:
the top of preinstall.php after you added the password
helloworld
:save the file, put it on the webserver, browse to it.
when it asks you to enter the password, you enter
helloworld
without quotes, case matters. then you click the button.

php session support might be misconfigured. your cookies in your browser might have to be cleared.
i'd stop using the preinstaller and upload g2 the old fashioned way if you get stuck this long.
