Sorry to be asking for help on this, but I've looked at the forums and help, and there doesn't seem to be this particular problem listed. I don't use Gallery 1, but I can not import my album folders from Gallery 2.0 Beta-2 to Gallery 2.2.1.

I installed Gallery 2.2.1 into a seperate folder on my server, becuase I was worried about compatibility issues if I tried to upgrade. I'm now trying to import my album folders, using the Gallery 1 import module, and I get that dang "the path you entered is invalid" error.

I looked that the config.php and entered the correct path: /home/pgadmin/www/beta/gallery2/g2data/albums. I have also tried public_html instead of www and that doesn't work.

My Gallery 2.0 Beta-2 works correctly. I can't use the Gallery 1 suggestions, because I am not running Gallery 1, or can I? what should I try next?

you can't import from other gallery 2 installations.
but you can upgrade from g2.0 beta 2 to g2.2.1.

of course we'd recommend a backup before you do that to ensure you don't lose any data.

if that's not an option, e.g. because you already spent some time adding a lot of new albums to the new installation, you can use "add items -> from local server" to add the albums from your old g2 to your new g2:

valiant, is there any other work around to import them straight from the server without accessing vía HTTP? I have over 20 albums on a 2.2.1 I have -temporary- a "little problem" with my hosting, which is giving me a hard time to do the upgrade.

Thanks a lot in advance.
