language update

i've read through the related topics but sorry that i yet have to open a new thread to make sure: do i have to follow the steps installing gettext, gmake and so on even if i just wanna to change one or two words?
i don't have linux or unix on my computer, thus i really want a resolution on windows, best regards.

If you have Windows , Use poEdit ,simple and easy .
Edit your po file , save it and you'll find a new file called
yourlanguagecode.mo , rename it to modules_core.mo ,copy it to your local/language folder .
