Okay well I know this is the G1 to G2 section but this will probably work in a similar way. I am trying to install multiple galleries on one domain but it wont let me have separate themes probably because I installed it as a single gallery instead of multiple... (at the time i wanted a single)

SO...I need to reinstall as a multiple gallery site so that each gallery can have its own theme/name/images. I keep having to clear the cache and keep the same theme on both galleries. How do I transfer all my images/users to the new install? Do I follow the upgrade install instructions? Is there an easier way to fix my problem?

EDIT: yes, these galleries are using separate MYSQL db's

Thanks,
Matt

not quite sure what the problem is.
here are a few related documentation articles:

- FAQ: How can I move my gallery installation from one folder to another?
- documentation -> installation -> multisite -> how to move a standalone to a multisite (and the other way)

the problem is i have 2 separate installs of gallery 2...in separate folders...but i installed both as SINGLE gallery install and when I change the theme on one it changes the other. Is there a way to change from standalone to multisite? I am going to read the link you sent me now so if I figure it out ill let you know...

i guess you're using multisite installations.
i suggest you clone the theme and use and customize the cloned theme for the 2nd g2.
