Cannot arrange text and photo as needed - Please help!

Hello,

Pardon my direct question. I have created a web site for a friend using Gallery2. This is my first time using it and I have set it up a month ago. He's come to me asking that when viewing the photo at max size, the text is to be placed beside the photo, and the photo is to be centered. Everything I have tried when editing CSS has not allowed me to at LEAST center the image. Please help me better understand this.

For those who may lead me to instruction manuals, or other long reads, please, forgive my impatience. Time is short for me and I've signed up on this forum in hopes of a direct answer.
