Uploaded and upgraded 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 Upgrade went fine had no problems. Went to my gallery and I don't have any thumbnails or images. The placeholders are there, but the images are not. Also I can only access Login and access Site Admin through CMS (Joomla.) Site was working perfect before upgrade. Any idea? Do I need to rebuild thumbnails and resizes? The last time I tried this, it caused all kinds of problems because of the size of my albums.

I am having trouble with the upgrade on part 3 (core upgrade) of the 6 part process. Everything seems to go pretty smoothly until I get to the core upgrade.

For system checks I get a warning for output buffering that reads:

Quote:
Warning: Output buffering is enabled in your PHP by the output_buffering parameter(s) in php.ini. Gallery can function with this setting - downloading files is even faster - but Gallery might be unable to serve large files (e.g. large videos) and run into the memory limit. Also, some features like the progress bars might not work correctly if output buffering is enabled unless ini_set() is allowed.

When I get to upgrading the gallery core module I get this message:

Quote:
Error (ERROR_STORAGE_FAILURE) : No map or entity description for: CheckoutPaypalIPN

* in modules/core/classes/GalleryStorage/GalleryStorageExtras.class at line 1498 (GalleryCoreApi::error)
* in modules/core/classes/GalleryStorage.class at line 1378 (GalleryStorageExtras::_updateTableInfo)

* in upgrade/steps/UpgradeCoreModuleStep.class at line 85 (GalleryModule::installOrUpgrade)
* in upgrade/index.php at line 185 (UpgradeCoreModuleStep::processRequest)

I cannot seem to get past this point. Any help in determining what this maybe would be very apprecaited!

I managed to solve my own problem by using a fairly quick and dirty method.

Here's what I did:

1) Went to my FTP site
2) Went to /hidsonphotography.com/gallery/modules/
3) Deleted checkoutpaypal
4) Continue with upgrade

Once I removed the Pay Pal module everything else worked fine. All I have to do now is reinstall the module and I'll be up and running again.

I have problem after upgrading from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2, too.
all URLs that were something like:
http://somedoamain.com/album/d/12212-2/IMG_6162.JPG
become:
http://somedoamain.com/album/main.php/d/12212-2/IMG_6162.JPG

how can I remove that annoying 'main.php' from the URL ? :(

uninstall the URL rewrite module.
then install it again and when configuring it, choose "mod rewrite" and not "PathInfo."

Thanks for posting that, you probably saved me hours of stress and a nightmare start from scratch.

After reading that I did the same on one of my gallery installations..... deleted checkoutpaypal with my ftp program ... clicked on the previous stage of install and went from there with no problems.

Now just got to reinstall and get paypal working but thats not so stressfull as killing my whole gallery ;o)

Thanks,

Regards,
