How to retrieve user name

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://www.enneciesse.com/modules/gallery
Gallery version:
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system:
Web browser/version (if applicable):
----------------------------------------------------

How I can retrieve my username and my password? I have lost it!
I have read about a g2_user table but I haven't found it in my database!

Hello,

you use Gallery 1 (A very outdated and buggy version 1.4.1)
Gallery 1 use no database at all.

The default username is "admin",the password is encrypted and thus can not be retrieved.
You can only reset it.

Upload a file called 'resetadmin' (yes, no extension), then go to the setup via your browser and follow the instructions.

Also consider an upgrade to a recent version. 1.4.1 contains security bugs, and does not work with PHP 5.

Can i post one more question? To which gallery I have to update? 1.5.6 or 2.2.2?
What's the difference?

Will my old photos be there also with the upgrade?

Well, Gallery 1 and Gallery 2 are totally different products.
They have just the same purpose.
In our documentation is a comparison.

Its your decission. As you have a lot photos, i recommend Gallery2, as its uses a database and scales better.

Of course will your photos be there!
A upgrade from G1 -> G1 is very easy, as its just a "copy-over".
From G1 -> G2 its a migration. You have to install Gallery2 and then import your G1 data.

I've take back a site with a gallery but we can't connect on it so I've tried to do that but nàothing happend ???
