Overwriting images after initial upload

I've got gallery running just fine, but am wondering if it can be configured to overwrite images with the same name? Many times, I upload images as soon as I get them, but then later would like to go back and edit the originals (improve contrast, crop, etc.). I'd love to keep the viewing stats and the ordering of the original image, but replace it with the editied version. Currently Gallery creates a new name (image_001, _002, etc.). Can this be overridden or anything? Thanks! |

It's not setup to do so. I think the closest you'll get is manually
overwriting the original uploaded file then recreate the thumbnail
etc.
