Hi

I have just installed Gallery 1.56 on a new server, and pointed it at the albums folder from my old gallery installation. I no longer have the old gallery installation (due to server crash), just the albums folder.

Setup went fine, my problem is that the new gallery is not seeing all the albums present in my old gallery. The issue can be seen at: http://www.veletron.com/php/gallery/

Gallery is reporting '4 top-level albums (185 total), 4275 images' but is only showing 2 albums (sometimes it shoes 3 albums, the actual number of top-level albums is 4)

Other issues, likely related also exist:

If I login as admin, goto Administer Startpage and say 'Rebuild Thumbs' the window that should be rebuilding the thumbs does blank.

The 'New Album' link produces a page with the text: 'Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8208 bytes) in /home/veletron/public_html/php/gallery/classes/Album.php on line 908'

The 'Validate Albums' option produces a blank page.

Ditto Find Orphans etc.

In Administer startpage, Album Order, if I change this to 'by name' and 'descending' then the startpage only shows one album.

The 'Album Order' setting does not stick. If I set it to 'By Physical Name' then revisit the same page, it has defaulted to 'By creation date (works only with albums created with 1.5.2 or newer)' All the albums in my gallery were created with versions prior to 1.5.2.

upgrade_album.php reports that all my albums are uo to date (it reported this the first time I ran it with the new gallery installation.

Anyone got any idea's how I can fix. I will post my phpinfo later in case its some kind of PHP issue.

I am running Ubuntu 6.10 with PHP 5.13

Regards

Nigel
