"album is empty" after a few months

Hey all!

I'm running gallery2 2.2.1, and I don't know if this happened before or after the upgrade from 2.2 to 2.2.1 (unfortunately), but one of my albums is completely empty!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated (yes, it's empty even to the admin user). Continue reading for more thoughts/info:

I looked in the g2data directory, and everything looks fine there. All the items, subalbums, etc, are there just as I added them (all 203 of them.) I don't know what is going on, but I sure could use any thoughts! I tried searching, but can't seem to find anyone else mentioning this problem, oddly enough.

I *might* have a backup of the DB from before this happened, but even if I did I'm not any kind of mySQL wiz, so I wouldn't know how to extract all album information just for this album. (Though now that I say that, if it always contained "ResLife" somewhere in each line that would probably not be too hard to search for..?)

ANY help or information would be _greatly_ appreciated! I was _just_ about to email this to all my coworkers when I realized what had happened. Aiee.. If I had to guess, I'd guess it happened after I moved an item into that album, though that seems a silly reason for this to be going on. Alternately.. hmm.. I'll think on it.

I moved the broken album (for the time being) to http://atothet.org/v/2007/ResidenceLife/ and used galleryadd.pl to add all the images back via the cmd-line.
But I'm still concerned about this happening again, so I won't delete the album right away lest i find a solution/answer. (Since a look at google's cache revealed I hadn't captioned the pix yet, I didn't mind so much to do what I did, else i would have been more .. frustrated.)

But yeah, in other words, I worked out the immediate problem, but I didn't work out why that Gallery is empty. I think it's the only one. And it happened after my g2.2.1 upgrade I think.. (will have to look to see when I upgraded exactly..) so any thoughts would still be appreciated! ta, -@
