php includes in templates

Hi:

I would like to include a "include" function of PHP in the template, for the header.
In that function besides I got php code to show diferent things depending on things of the main site.

Any ideas ?

Since Gallery 2 uses Smarty for it's template engine, check out http://www.phpfreaks.com/smarty_manual/page/language.function.include.html
