Gallery v1.3.5-cvs-b15 and geeklog?

I tried the integration of gallery 1.3.3 and geeklog 1.3.7sr2. I had gallery working. I read the readme with the geeklog.1.3.7-gallery.1.3.3 integration and things seemed to go ok. I logged into GL as admin, clicked on the link to Gallery, tried to create a new album, and got this error...

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/*****/local/home/*******/*******/gallery/classes/User.php on line 155

So, I decided to go ahead and upgrade to gallery 1.3.5. Don't ask why... why not? I have this up and working very well, not integrated though. Has anybody done the integration? I used the files from the 1.3.3/1.3.7 integration but got a popup error, so I set it all back to normal. If anypne has done this I'd really like to hear about it. Oh yea, you should know I know zip about php. : )
