I think a new image / new album indicator (be it a CSS that puts a yellow or red box around the thumbnail, or an indicator like the Comment indicator thaty is used now. Have it admin defineable for how ever many days the image was uploaded ago. (say 30 days or 60 days) So if an image in an album was uploaded 10 days ago, and the range the admin specified was 60 then the Album would have an indicator stating that there is a new images in said album. one you go in that album, it would have the indicator on the image that is new. the kludgy way of doing the cookie mod isnt they way this should work. People want to know whats new and some people have either cookies turned off, are new the the site, or have cleaned their cookies out quite often. Having this server side would be very good. :o |
