how do I remove view counter (black theme) Gallery (v1.5-RC2)

Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version:Gallery (v1.5-RC2)
Apache version:NA
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):PHP 4.4.1
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system:FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE
Web browser/version (if applicable): FireFox 2.0.0.6, IE7

how do I remove view counter (black theme) Gallery (v1.5-RC2)? I have tried making a change with the confog wizard but had no luck. Can any one point me in the right direction?

FAQ: I changed a value on Step 3 of the configuration wizard (or in config.php), but the change isn't taking effect. What's going on?
