Hi,

i upgraded to a dev 2-x version of Gallery module and gallery 2.2.3 and following problems occur:

- Adding photos with basic upload doesnt work at all. I submit the page... and nothing. Result - white screen after a long wait.

-Adding photos using java upload applet or gallery remote works, EXCEPT it is not possible to display first uploaded image-thumbnail is displayed everywhere, but clicking on it brings you just blank screen.

-slideshow doesnt work. Clicking on slideshow link results in blank screen. Interesting is that slideshow DOES work at older albums, but doesnt at new ones.

There are no such problems occuring if i am logged in in standalone gallery. So gallery2 by itself is ok, i suppose.

i am really not able to resolve this. Could you please help?
thanks for any suggestions,
Palo

Please dont double post here and in the issues tracker on drupal.org (http://drupal.org/node/176069)!
From your description it sounds like a php memory issue. Do you have a memory limit configured?

ok, i am sorry for duplicity.

Memory limit is set at 40M, it was not an issue before. It all started after i upgraded to new drupal gallery module.

this slideshow works:
http://www.orchestrvse.cz/index.php?q=gallery&g2_view=slideshow.Slideshow&g2_itemId=191

this one is not:
http://www.orchestrvse.cz/index.php?q=gallery&g2_view=slideshow.Slideshow&g2_itemId=1226

this picture works ok:
http://www.orchestrvse.cz/v/akce/jiznicechy2007/P1060688.jpg.html

this one doesnt:
http://www.orchestrvse.cz/v/akce/jiznicechy2007/P1060692.jpg.html

both are in the same album. And both are located at gallery storage folders (file is not corrupted).
its just an example.

of course, i could go back, restore everything from working backup copy with old gallery module but i like new one and would be happy if i could "repair" this instalation :)

thanks for any suggestions.

That's strange. You are the first to report such emergence. In many cases a white screen is a good sign for scripts exceeding memory limit. This could also explain why some (new) images appear somehow broken now. However you should empty you db/file caches and try to run some G2 maintenance scripts (e.g. rebuild all thumbnails, derivatives). Also check your DB for corruption.

yes its pretty strange. thanks for your help, i already tried to empty caches, but that didnt work. i will try to use those maintanence scripts as you mentioned, problem is that i dont really think it will work, because gallery itself works.
If i enter gallery directly (standalone), everything is perfectly OK. Those problems occur in case of embeded gallery only...

..so. I upgraded drupal to version 5.2, checked everything, used maintenance scripts.... and- it seem that all photos are displayed ok, now.

but slideshow still doesnt work - just white screen. BTW the same happens when i try to access gallery plugin configuration page using gallery module Most relevant... link.

Hmm. Have you checked you url rewrite config? Or maybe try to disable url rewrite temporarily. Does it help?
