Lightbox Issues

I believe these are either already known or are theme issues, but I wanted to toss them out here anyway to be sure as they are no-go conditions for using lightbox for me:

- WPG2 tries to lightbox videos. This does not work and makes them unviewable to users when activated.
- When clicking on an image in the main wordpress sidebar, it does not lightbox, but rather displays on a blank page. Sidebar support is set to "yes".
- Images only display at full size, which is cumbersome. I believe from past posts on the old forum this is an issue with the wordpressembedded theme.

This is on a WP 2.3 install using WPG2 3.0RC Final and Gallery 2.2.1

Please try the latest SVN snapshot. I think I may have fixed these two issues. (I haven't dug into the full-size issue, yet.)

I am surprised about point one&two, because I not had lightbox tags on my video blog post for weeks and the lightbox from my sidebar has been working for weeks, I need to chat to Kirk so understand his changes..

I upgraded WPG2 to the 30 September 3.0 version. I upgraded WordpressEmbedded to the latest svn snapshot. Lightbox now correctly ignores video files. I'm still having the second two issues. I see the bug tracker on the midsized image is still open. I'm not sure where to go with the sidebar issue. It seems like that would be a WPG2 problem and not related to the theme.

Lightbox images will display fullsize if your resized images are smaller than your specific minimum lightbox size. It is easy to check in the WordpressEmbedded Theme, turn off the lightbox and navigate to the image in question and you be able to see the resized image sizes in the pull down box up the right hand corner..

Albums in the sidebar will not have LightBox support, they'll always go to an embedded gallery. Are you seeing that, or is the problem on individual images in the sidebar?

(On Ozgreg's demo site, the image block is an individual image and goes to LightBox, but on the WPG2 developers blog, the imageblock is an album and goes to the embedded gallery.

Ozgreg has done some work on this. Please grab the latest WordPress Embedded SVN snapshot and see if that fixes it for you.

This does seem to be working, I previously had my minimum set lower than the midsized size and it was still full but it's functional now in the latest svn, thanks!

It's an individual image, I have a random image sidebar block. On a related note, I tried activating the sidebar grid block and nothing showed up. Does this need to be added separately to my sidebar to make it visible? I have not looked into it much yet and was just curious.

Yes, you need to finish the Configuration off for the Sidebar Grid Block and of course add the Widget (or function) to your sidebar.

Great News on the SVN WordpressEmbedded Theme working, please test it out as I want to release this.. :)
