Pictures not showing after upgrade

Hi,

I just upgraded to WP 2.3 and also upgraded WPG2 to Version 3.0.2 and now my pictures aren't showing up anymore. Instead just the file name comes up. I am using vSlider3 and it was working fine until now.

WPG2 does validate after I manually changed the paths

Wordpress Compatible? Success
URI to Gallery2 Ok? Success
Gallery2 can be located in G2 File Path? Success
Gallery2 can be initialised? Success
Gallery2 Version Compatible? Success
Gallery2 Module: ImageBlock Active? Success
Gallery2 Module: ImageBlock Version Compatible? Success
Gallery2 Module: ImageFrame Active? Success
WPG2 Output Page Type? Wordpress
WPG2 Gallery2 Rewrites Status? Off
Embedded Page is using what Header type? Simple
Embedded Page is using what Footer type? Simple
Using Which WPG2 Stylesheet? Internal

But why aren't my pictures showing?

I set the WPG2 page to the status draft as described by the vSlider author:
"Since the vSlider theme was already adding this link to the top navigation, now there will be two different links to the same location - not very pretty. The quickfix for this is to edit this page and change the status to “draft”, so that it doesn’t show up on the navigation (don’t delete it! WPG2 will revert to full page Gallery2 and that won’t work)."

I'm stumped at first look. I have to go to a meeting for a couple of hours, and will look more later.

Did you have URL rewrites on before? If you did, you need to turn them back on in the Gallery2 Rewrites tab. Also, try deactivating and then reactivating the plugin.

Hi,

I just noticed that the URL to the gallery was wrong. I changed it and everything is working now. I didn't notice the mistake before because the PlugIn validated successful. Is there a way that the settings for the plugin are saved when deactivating and re-activating or even update it?

The pictures are showing now but for some reason all the pictures are just shown in two columns and not three anymore. Also it seems like the font for the picutre description is increased. Does WPG2 apply CSS that override the Gallery theme CSS?

We intentionally delete the paths on deactivation and reactivation because the paths are the most problematic thing and forcing them to be rebuilt on reactivation prevents cumulative problems.

(Although, we used to store them and then had a "reset to defaults" button. I'm leaning towards going back to that approach based on several threads of feedback on 3.0.x.)

Yes. You can modify it in wpg2/css/wpg2.css.

I'm thinking we probably need to look at making this configurable/editable from one of the windows. Either in one of the WPG2 tabs or the theme editor.
