Search-Engine

Hello,

I am about to consider installing this great software.
I have some questions though.

Since I want a good search engine I wonder if:

1. Is there a possibility to add additional fields and make them searchable. Like, when uploading user have to choose from certain drop-downs. There need to be a few of them to place the image right.
I am developing an airliner site so I want users when uploading to choose from:
<Aircraft types
<Airline names
<Photographers
etc .. etc... I might want to add more dropdowns later on.

Now, in search page I want those dropdowns to appear as well to make a better search.

Is that tricky to accomplish?
