I'm trying to use WPG2 3.0.2 with WordPress 2.0.2. The Gallery to which I am trying to link is 2.2. However, when I try to use WPG2 Sbar Block on my Sidebar, I get the following error message displayed on my WP site:
Quote:

I've copied wpg2imageblock.tpl to my Gallery's default theme template folder ( gallery2/themes/carbon/templates ) and even to gallery2/modules/core/templates. Should I have wpg2imageblock.tpl somewhere else, too? Or, am I missing something else?
Thanks.

You don't need to copy it anywhere. It's called internally to the WPG2 directory.
First, just to be sure, you have the sidebar gridblock configured under WPG2 -> Side Bar Gridblock, right? (You should get a different error if you don't, but wanted to make sure before any other trouble shooting.)
Assuming you have it configured, what type of grid block do you have it set to? I've seen a similar error using Random Album in my test bed which has some empty albums. Haven't seen it otherwise.

Here are screenshots of both
Sidebar Image Options

Sidebar Grid Block Options

Should either be set differently? I tried changing some of the options around, but no change.
I also tried a second Gallery that I have that is also on same server as my WP installation; this second Gallery is totally open to public -- all albums and all pictures. But I still get the same error.
BTW, here is the error message for the WPG2 Sbar Grid when I add that to my Sidebar as well:

Please check to see if the wpg2imageblock.tpl file exists in wpg2\templates

doh! PEBKAC issue
I really have to learn how to set "Extract files with full path" as a default option for Xarchiver. I went ahead and re-downloaded the package, re-extracted making sure that "Extract files with full path" was selected, and re-uploaded. voila! Blocks now work!
Thanks for the help.

Great. Glad you got it working, and that it wasn't a bug.
