I successfully installed the latest Wordpress and Gallery 2 releases last week and had WPG2 working just fine. I then decided to move the blog from a sub-domain to the primary domain (www.joemccaffery.com). After successfully moving the blog I was very pleased until I realized the embedded gallery was no longer displaying with the Wordpress theme. I first tried manually replacing any references to the old URLs in the gallery DB (since that's what I had to do in the blog DB when I moved the blog). No luck. I then spent the next few nights trying just about everything I could find on the discussion boards: >> Deactived WPG2, reactivate. No luck. Quite frankly I'm stuck. I suspected there was some kind of reference from the original installs and the relationship between the original directories that I just couldn't figure out how to correct. That's why I thought doing a complete reinstall would ultimately resolve the issue. I thought wrong. Here are the URLs in question: >> WPG2 output: http://www.joemccaffery.com/photos If anyone can help, I'd be very greatful. |

It looks to me that you have configured the WPG2 to point to your standalone Gallery2 (in the WPG2 Options - Output tab) - Switch this back to WPG2 output via Wordpress Page..

Hi Ozgreg -- Thanks for the quick reply. On the WPG2 Output tab, I have the "WPG2 Output via Wordpress Page" selected.
This was also part of the odd behavior that I couldn't figure out. I thought it may have been a permalink issue and may have figured it out.
Gallery is installed in a sub-directory called photos, so when the URL is re-written with the page slug "photos", it's identical to the directory structure and the main.php file in the photos directory is rendered.
I changed page slug to "pics" and it's now working fine.
Thanks again for your response.

You can't have the WPG2 output pageslug be the same as your Gallery2 directory name, because this will break rewrites.
