Hola everyone!

So I had to reinstall Wordpress and Gallery (don't ask :P ). After all the configuration needed, I wanted to have the mod_rewrite.

After I clicked the configure button on URL Rewrite I get this screen and I fill it with the values I think are correct.

After that, I get the message in red and rewrite doesn't work.
Anyone has an idea?
thanks in advance!

Guessing you got it working as your rewrites are now active..

When you navigate to the WPG2 Options -> Gallery2 rewrite tab does WPG2 plugin let you activate the Gallery2 Rewrites?

No, and I don't know why, I was able to do that in prior installation :(

I presume you have a .htaccess file in your Gallery2 directory that is writeable (chmod of 666)?

Solved!

Gallery used the PHP Path Info Support instead of the mod_rewrite :) and now it works :)
Thanks all of you for the help! :D

Yeah php path info is a pain, we have yet to find a really good way to extend it into Wordpress.. It pretty well breaks when trying to access Gallery2 content from within Wordpress.

After I used the PHP Path Info Support the permalink seamed to work. When you mouse over any item, it shows the link as it should be. But when you click it, I get a 404 page and the plugin is shown as inactive.

If you like I can give you an admin account to check it out?

Anyway, this are the steps I've followed:

1.- I install the rewrite module

2.- I select the PHP Info Path option

3.- I active the plugin

AND the permalink doesn't work. As normal, WP tells me Gallery is not using the mod_rewrite module (see 2)

After all this, no permalinks.

Then I uninstall the rewrite module to restart the config

After I fill the info I think is the correct, I get the same error over and over again:

I'm not really sure what to do now :(

Don't fill out anything on that form. WPG2 fills that in automatically when you activate rewrites on the WPG2 -> Gallery2 Rewrites tab.

Try this from your standalone Gallery2 page (http://cholito.org/galeria/main.php), instead of while embedded. (I don't like that vSlider3 locks you out of the standalone page. You'll have to edit galeria/config.php so that the line that reads

$gallery->setConfig('mode.embed.only', true);

reads

$gallery->setConfig('mode.embed.only', false);

to be able to do this from the standalone page.)

1. Uninstall the rewrites module in G2 again.
2. Install it.
3. Configure with mod_rewrites.
4. Activate it.
5. Then go to the WPG2 -> Gallery2 Rewrites tab and see what you get.
6. If it is all green and says "On", turn it off and then back on to force the WP rewrite array to be syncronized with the G2 rewrite array.
7. Reverse the mods you made to galeria/config.php to lock down your standalone gallery again.

I don't know how, I don't know why, it just start working. I can't remember how many times I clicked the links. But anyway, I won't click anything else, otherwise I'll lose the config :)

Thanks!
