Multiple Galleries - Different Directories - Error

Not sure if this is a "troubleshooting" issue or an "installation" issue, but I'm trying to set up multiple galleries with Gallery 1 - I've changed the config.php to reflect the appropriate paths to albums and photos and the temp directory, but when I complete the set up process for each additional gallery, I get the error message: Error: Your userfile is not writeable. I saw in the FAQ that I should chmod everything to 777 and I have but still the same error. If I try to pull up the URL directly, I get this error:

I see the file it says is missing.
Where am I going wrong? I need to have different visitors be able to see their own galleries under their own URL. Thanks in advance.
