How to Add Spam Filtering for Comments posted to my Gallery Site

I would like to filter inappropriate comments in the "add comments" link. How would I setup to do this in Gallery version 1?

I found the description of Captcha module in Gallery 2 to prevent anonymous spam comments but I am not clear if it is available in Gallery 1.
Is Gallery 2 a priced product?

Gallery2 is free too. It's works a bit different then G1 for example it uses a database.
