Go straight to the Gallery, instead of the embedded page?

I know, this might not make a lot of sense since the purpose of WPG2 IS the embedded gallery page.

But, I'd like to keep my WP and G2 seperate and just use the WPG2 plugin for easy insertion og G2 images in my post. I then want the thumbnails to link directly to the image in G2, instead of the EMBEDDED G2.

I'm kind of new to this, so I don't know where to look for this in the files. I've been going through the WPG2 options a couple of times already but couldn't seem to find an option to by-pass the embed page. Please, help.

Thanks

PS: The reason I want to by-pass the embedding is so that the G2 can be accessed alone. With the embedded G2 themes I've seen this isn't really going to be pretty. Correct me if I'm wrong.

PPS: Everything is a new install - Wordpress (2.3.1), Gallery 2 (2.2.3), and WPG2 (3.0.2)

You can do this by going to the WPG2 Output tab and selecting "WPG2 Output via Standalone Gallery2 Page"

In the Gallery 2.3, we'll have the ability to use a different theme for the embedded gallery and the standalone gallery. This will let you have two totally different looks, if you want. We'll have to do some work in WPG2 to take advantage of this, so it won't be right away.

Thanks Cap'n!
I tried that before but thought that it would magically fix everything. After I've updated my posts with images things are looking like they're supposed to again.

Looking forward to seeing the two different theme option in WPG2. :)

Thanks, again!

I'm jazzed to see that 2.3 should include this. I do have it installed, however have not been able to locate this option. Did I overlook it somewhere or did it slip by on this release? Any suggestions on a hack to allow alternate themes on an embedded page?
