Watermark plugin not EXIF ( orientation ) aware

Its nice that Gallery 2.2.3 is Orientation aware and automatically flips portrait shots up the right way it the info is in the EXIF data.
I just wish the watermark module was as clever.
If I make a watermark.png in landscape orientation it doesn't automatically flip vertical on portrait orientation images.
This is a pain when uploading 2-300 images and a random selection of them ( maybe 25% ) are portrait orientation.
At this stage I must run two different watermarks ( one landscape. one portrait ) and separate the landscape from the portrait before uploading. Then upload one lot at a time applying the correct watermark as we go.

Ok call me lazy, but I just love clever software that does my work for me
