Moving the register form. Is it possible?

I hopp that this question is in the right forum.
I am making a php webb page and i have installed gallery2 to show pictures and allow the registred users to upload pictures too.

My page has a login form which is outside the gallery2 folder, i mean in the start page i have a login and register form and i don't wanna have another login form in the gallery2 page. Instead i want that when the user login in the start page get logged to the gallery too. Tha same think when the user has to register.

How can i move the register module to the start page of my site. I gonna use the same gallery database to save the users.

And another question related to the same modul, how can i add a field in the register form in order to save the users telephone numbers in the database?
