I have a problem where G2Image chooser will not show images in the right pane or list the albums in the left pane of albums that are only visible to registered useres. I'm loged into Joomla as admin. I've tried putting "\" in the cookies box of Gallery 2 settings and that didn't seem to make a difference. At one point in time, I found that I could only ever see the registered user albums using a specific computer. Now that doesn't seem to be working either. I've used the user management in gallery bridge to synch the users but that didn't seem to make any differances. Any ideas?

I'm using Joomla 1.0.13, Gallery 2.2, Gallery 2 Bridge 2.0.14 Beta, and G2Image chooser 3.0.2.

I need to figure out a better way to do this, but for now G2Image uses the current Gallery2 cookie to determine the active user. If you go directly to the Joomla "add content" pane after logging in as a specific user, Gallery2 has not been told that the user is no longer "guest" and is now "your Joomla user". Please try logging into Joomla and then going to a page that has Gallery2 content on it, like the embedded gallery. This will force the G2 Bridge to tell Gallery2 that you're logged in and put you as the active user in the Gallery2 cookie. Then G2Image should know who you are and let you see albums that are restricted to registered users.

The root problem is that G2Image doesn't do any user management (and never will) because it's platform agnostic. The integration packages like the Joomla G2 Bridge or WordPress WPG2 do all of the user sync between the platform and Gallery2. The trick will be to find a way for each platform's integration package to tell G2 who the active user is after login, not just when viewing a page with G2 data on it.

Hey

I have the same problem, I log into joomla and gallery2 under the bridge with the same user, yet I can't see any pictures from my gallery because they're all under a password. I tried to do what you said with the embedded page, but I just get a 404 with my attempt at creating an embedded page.

Sorry for the delay. Life has gotten in the way of coding the past month. I'm trying to get back up to speed on the boards this week.

Usayd, it sounds like you don't have the G2 Bridge fully working. Try the instructions here, and let me know if you're still having problems.
