Upgrading Theme for Widgets

A while back, I took one of Brian Pinneo's(sp) great themes and tweaked it to my liking. I now have the perfect theme for my Wordpress and WPG2 tastes. Theres just a small problem.

My theme is not widget compatible. Even though I do not use any widgets and have no desire to in the near future, I would like to make sure that my theme is compatible as I never know when a widget may come up that I like or need. I have looked at the widget/theme upgrading pages and either can't make much sense of it, or just am too hurried to understand it. So, if I could find someone to look at my theme's code and tell me the best way to go, that would be awesome.

If anyone is interested in helping, I will set you up with an Admin account for my wordpress installation so that you can access and do whatever needs to be done.
