Hello everybody.
I found this in the LOCALIZATION documentation :"The translation files get cached by PHP (which is why it's so fast) so you may not see change until you restart your web server. That's annoying, but I haven't figured a good workaround for it yet.".
Is there a workaround, even bad :-), for it ? I don't have the possibility to restart apache...
I am generating the "mo" files locally and then upload them to the server.
Thank you in advance,
tippi

tippi, I have tried various "fixes" found on the net, but nothing worked for me. I am not sure if my ISP did something after my nagging but now I find that if I refresh the page 5-6 times the new translation often comes through.

Only other option seems to develop and test locally, upload and wait for a ISP server restart.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Andreas

Hello Andreas,
It seems that your solution is pretty good though. I've pressed the refresh button till I saw that Gallery has loaded my modified translation files.
Maybe it's not the "workaround" but it worked for me!

Thanks a lot and best regards,
tippi
