Hi community,

since a couple of months I am using the Gallery Appliance (x86 VMware Virtual Appliance version 1.1) successful as my environment for testing and customizing. It works really great for me with 2.1 and 2.2.x (stable versions) - so let me say THANKS for it. It saves me a lot of time.

Now I am trying to install the gallery version 2.3-svn.
The installation script hangs at step2 (performing system checks). It gives me no hint whats wrong.
By now I have tried it more than twice in deleting the gallery files, re-downloading and unpacking them. I have started from scratch with a new appliance vmware-file too. The result is all the same (as before).

I have checked the following logfiles:
/var/log/httpd/access_log
/var/log/httpd/error_log
/var/log/messages

I could not find anything that seems to be relevant.
Could you please give me a hint which files I should to check vor log-messages?

Thanks for your support,
Jens

I would like to thank valiant. His suggestion to another user was pointing me in the right direction: "How to display PHP errors?"
The installation hangs because of the standard memory limit of 8 MB. After increasing the installation was working perfectly.

regards,
Jens
