Do I activate the g2 mod_rewrite?

Hello, I got everything working and wpg2 validates, but it deactivates the g2 mod_rewrite whenever I go into the wordpress admin panel. And in the wordpress admin panel it in the WPG2 tab for 'WPG2 Gallery2 Rewrite status' it says 'Off (safe)'. And in the Gallery2 rewrites tab everything is checked 'yes' though at the bottom where it says Gallery2 Rewrite plugin, the drop down menu has 'rewrite disabled' as default. So is it on or off? By Default during initial activation WPG2 deactivates the Gallery2 rewrite module as this module requires additional validation steps. As your installation appears to be all ok, change the WPG2 Gallery2 Rewrite Status to Active.
