WPG2 Tab is Blank in Wordpress

I'm new to Wordpress and Gallery 2 (came from setting up Postnuke and Gallery1 systems). I think I followed the instructions correctly and activated the WPG2 plugin in Wordpress. This added the WGP2 tab in Worpress after the Options tab. If I go to the first tab under WPG2 called WPG2, it's completely blank (and I think I have to validate there). The WPG2 Paths tabs displays fine and says Valid in green at the top and lists my paths. All other tabs state I must validate WPG2 first. I'm at a loss, can anyone point me to my error. WP press version 2.3.2, Gallery version 2.2.4 Full and WPG2 version 3.0.2. TIA |

I used my phpinfo.php file in my root and it showed: memory_limit 50M
I edited the .htaccess file anyway to: phpvalue memorylimit 64M (and I got an error 500)
Then I edited the php.ini file in the root of my directory and set it to 64M and the phpinfo.php shows 64M now
I still have the same problem =(

I should probably add...I'm not sure if this is a valid setup but my albums folder is not in my public_html folder.
I have home/user/public_html (this is my web root and WP lives there)
I have home/user/public_html/gallery (this is my gallery files I downloaded)
I have home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpg2 (this is where I put the plugin)
I have home/user/albums (this is where i was planning to put my images so they were not available through http:// access)
This may not be a valid setup...I wasn't sure but couldn't figure out how to change my albums path in Gallery 2.

Nothing about your setting looks out of the ordinary so WPG2 should work out of the box. The only two times I ever had a blank page is either A) Run out of php memory, B) Had a fatal call to G2 which terminated the php. (Option B should log an error in your web error_log)

Well...this problem is resolved but my resolution probably isn't good for most people. Since this was a new site I was setting up, I deleted all my files, dropped all the data in the gallery and wordpress databases, reuploaded everything, set up wordpress, set up gallery and....it works. =) I had checked the error log before this and nothing except my htaccess error 500s. Honestly I think the problem may have been my upload. For some reason when I use Filezilla with a huge amount of files it tends to time out, then reconnect, then reupload files. I wsitched to Bulletproof to upload and no time outs. I'm guessing some file was corrupted out of the 8000+. Thank you for your time. =)

No problems, Gallery2 does have a simple loader as well which is another way to upload all the files. The G2 team is working hard to reduce the number of files in G2.3
