User Albums and Simple modules not working

Hello! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I'm having trouble getting the module User Albums to work. I have verified that it is installed and activated. I have even deactivated and reactivated it. I have clicked on the User Albums link and saved the settings that I want. But registered users are unable to make an album or post content. If I change the permissions then they are able to add as many albums as they want and delete everone else's albums and photos. I want registered users to be able to only add one album and only be able to edit or delete their own photos. Am I having trouble because I'm using Gallery version 2.2.2? I've tried messing around with the User Album options and album permissions but nothing seems to work. I hope you can help me out.

I also tried installing the simple module and that didn't work either.

My gallery is inside Joomla with a bridge. Would this cause these kinds of problems?
